Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 (Commencement No.1) Order 2008 was made on 14 February. This brings into force, from 6 April 2008, the majority of the provisions in the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007. The Order does not, however, bring into force one of the controversial parts of the Act: its application to deaths in custody. This part of the Act should be in force by 6 April 2013.
