The Financial Reporting Council has today published its latest quarterly strategic progress and planning report. This provides a summary of the FRC's actions in the past quarter and states that in the next quarter the FRC will publish:- A final report on the review of the effectiveness of the Combined Code.
- Final guidance for directors of UK companies on going concern and liquidity risk.
- A consultation paper on non-audit services.
- A further report on the implementation of the Market Participants Group’s recommendations on choice in the UK audit market.
- Final clarified ISAs (UK and Ireland), clarified International Standard on Quality Control (UK and Ireland) and revised Statement of the Scope and Authority of the APB’s Pronouncements.
- The Audit Inspection Unit’s public reports arising from the results of its 2008/09 programme of work.
- The outcome of the AADB’s review of the Accountancy Scheme and a full draft of the revised Scheme.
