CMA says physicians can just say no to signing passport applications

The Canadian Medical Association says physicians should feel free to refuse to sign patients' passport applications, particularly if they object to doing so on privacy grounds. Recent changes to requiremetns for passport applications have broadened the categories of who can attest to an applicant's identity, but the form now requires the attestor to put in their date of birth and passport number.
