The Companies (Reduction of Share Capital) Order 2008 has been published on the OPSI website, together with an explanatory memorandum. The Order was made on 17th July and comes into force on 1 October 2008. It sets out the form of the solvency statement for private companies wishing to reduce their share capital in accordance with Sections 642 to 644 of the Companies Act (2006).
