The Financial Reporting Council is expected to publish the revised Corporate Governance Code this week. A report in yesterday's Sunday Times newspaper (see here) repeats the suggestion made in the Daily Telegraph last week (see here) that the FRC has decided that it is desirable for boards to be subject to annual re-election by the shareholders (presumably subject to 'comply or explain').
